Description
The Mahabharata, India’s greatest epic, a huge, sweeping work and is the longest Sanskrit epic poem. It is the story of the Kuru family, and the events that lead to the fratricidal Mahabharata War.
It describes the events during the 18-day war and its aftermath along with great knowledge imparted to Arjuna by Lord Krishna called Gita. The book have great influence on the country’s culture and traditions. Mahabharata was compiled by the great literary incarnation of Godhead Ved Vyasa or Vyasa Dev primarily for the purpose of broadcasting the glories of Lord Krishna’s pure devotees, the Pandavas.
